5. List Home on the Market

Typically, when you choose to work with a realtor you’ll sign Exclusive Listing paperwork that allows us to start working with you on the sale of your home. This period lasts as long as you need to get your home ready to list on the market.

Once your home is prepped, photographed and ready for thee Basking Ridge market, we will discuss the best timing to put your home ‘live’ for sale on the MLS, which will feed to Zillow, Realtor.com and all the other online listing platforms.

Coming Soon - First your home will show as ‘Coming Soon’ online. This is a great way to get your home in front of buyers online in anticipation for the first weekend of showings. 

Active - Next your home is shown to potential buyers as 'Active'. This is when the public is able to request showings at your home.

6. Showings and Open Houses

We offer both private showings and open houses to give prospective buyers the opportunity to tour your home and imagine themselves living there. Making this easy for you is our top priority, so we’ll work with you to schedule convenient times for showings and maximize attendance at open houses.

Typically in Basking Ridge, we hold an open house the first Sunday that your home is on market. If you do not want to hold an open house at your home, no problem! We will schedule private individual showings.

7. Evaluate Offers

Potential buyers will submit offers using a buyer’s agent. Together, we will evaluate offers based on price, contingencies, closing date, inspection dates (& more). We’ll accept and sign the strongest offer.

8. Attorney Review

9. Under Contract

11. Closing

You will have signed all legal documents with your attorney. Buyer, with their attorney, will close the sale on their end. Funds and ownership will be transferred.
